Warm weather & Pink glass with memories...

What a warm summer day, that's what it feels like...I went outside in the Garden early this morning and did a little cleaning...washed some clothes and hung them out to dry..within two hours they were about dry and ready to come off. I love these mornings when you can do that..but it started getting so hot that I had to go in...and I decided to mop the kitchen and bathroom floor because I knew they would dry fast..I cleaned the birds so they could feel happy and clean too...and let them hang in the kitchen for a while cause the sun was peeping through the windows..
I took some photos of my pink glass...because I had found these pink I guess wine glasses, they aren't really large. I had them at my storage, my never completely looked at them all..I found one broken one and I felt sad..that was one of eight and it couldn't be fixed so I had threw it out...

So I washed them all up and even though I still have seven...rite...rite...I think they are so pretty...
So then I thought I would share my pink candy dish with you that resides in my little hallway...I have eaten all the peanut butter little candies and the caramels are gone it's just the mint left...hehehe...someone has been eating them all up..

I only have one of these and I'm not sure what it was used for...All these pieces came off on Dad's truck...I don't remember where from though..boy I sure miss those days going through the truck to find hidden treasure that people through out...I loved it so much...you never knew what you would find and I found so many things...
I suppose I could use this for a nice Rootbeer float...yum....or a tall Glass of Sweet Tea...
These drinking glasses I have three of them...I love the pattern of Roses and I forgot the name of them...

A very tiny little plate...about the size of a quarter..I have had this for years which I found on Dad's truck as well..I have another little trinket box but when Mom was talking to me I accidentally erased the photo..

I have six of these little tiny glasses ... those are baby roses dried from the garden last year...the photo didn't come out to well...but they have a design etched in...like little grapes..

I'm not sure if this is considered a butter dish or cheese ... but whatever it is I love it..

The pink material is a small runner I made o probably when I was around 30 Mom had some materials in the basement that belonged to my Great Grandmother... and I made a row pillow cover which still remains on my couch today...

Im 54 years old and my Great Grandmother died just before I was born...so it's well over 54 years old...and it's lovely as ever...I only wished that I had gathered more of the material...

A round bowl...maybe a cereal bowl...

I have four little desert cups...I still have a few more pieces in the box upstairs in the attic, which I have taken out and seen yet...

Tiny little Tea cup ornament...

So after all was said and done,... I went and took a cool shower and got dress made myself pretty and went to Mom's house It's almost seven p.m. and it's around 90 degrees. Still very warm...

Wishing you a lovely cool evening where ever you may be. I'm going to relax and do some crocheting...with love Janice

  1. Love the look of your blog and love this post. What beautiful pieces. I'm sure there's some age to them. Not only are they pretty but I like to think of the hands that held them when they were new, the hands that held them before and how great they now are where they are still treasured. I can picture a lazy, summer day and a cool class of lemonade or iced tea in the tall pink glass. Our evening has brought a cool breeze, good sleeping weather. We're predicted quite hot weather in a few days so certainly will enjoy this. Have a lovely rest of the weekend.

  2. Thank you for stopping by our blog today and leaving a comment! I had to return the visit and so glad I did! Your pink depression glass brings back some memories here, I must go now to the place where I store Grandma's glasses and make sure it is all safe!! Your blog is so beautiful and I loved seeing all the old treasures of china, crystal, linens and lace (all things I had to store away after I married a hunter) Have a great weekend!

  3. All of your pink glassware is so pretty! I have a couple of pieces that were given to me by a friend, and I treasure them! I have more of the green than the pink.
