Just for you, these were so simple to make and my grandchildren loved them. They are good with butter and some jelly on them...Maybe you have heard of them.
Recipe follows:
Drop Biscuits
2 cups of flour
1 Tab. baking powder
1 tea. salt
1/4 tea. sugar
5 Tab of cold butter
1 cup of milk
1. preheat oven to 4oo degrees, Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar
in a large mixing bowl. Using a fork or pastry blender, cut the butter into the mixture. ( I just used my fingers and hands rubbing it together till it came grainy) Slowly stir in milk and mix gently until the dough comes together.
2. Drop the dough onto a baking sheet non greased, by the spoonfuls using a tablespoon. makes 12 biscuits. Leave room between each one to expand. bake 12 to 15 minutes. I did almost 20 mins. because that's how my daughter's oven went. So check them leave until biscuits are golden brown... I haven't been home to post on vacation visiting with my grandchildren and older daughter... I'm using her lap top but don't have no pictures today...I hope you are all fine and doing well. My last post was about a friend who I was very close with actually we were boy friend and girl friend for almost a year. That was two years ago, we have talked here and there and then I just stopped writing and he came home a few days ago...we talked a little bit and then I decided for myself to let it go instead of going there again. I love him but so much went by since then and it's just another story...but I like to take this time to wish all my friends a very Merry Christmas I will stay with my daughter till after the New Year...God bless you all much love Janice be back soon.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas!! Have a lovely visit with your daughter :)
