NEED YOUR OPINION PLEASE. (TESTING THE WATERS)

HERE IS THE INTRODUCTION OF FOR MY COOKBOOK PLEASE LEAVE ME A COMMENT AND TELL ME IF THIS WOULD MAKE YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT WAS INSIDE.
My Introduction: DRAFT

I’m fifty three years old and just now decided that I needed to do something for myself and my family. (Well I have thought about it for just a short while.) I wanted to leave something behind like other people do for my children and grandchildren, But something different. As a mother and grandmother I want to give them the thing that I have enjoyed most in my life. And that’s Cooking. I didn’t enjoy cooking at first because I had to cook for someone who didn’t appreciate it was very discouraging. At that time I was 12 years old. I was never was taught to cook just made to cook. So at first it consisted of cooking out of boxes and cans. When I later married at a young age that was when I decided I wanted to be a good cook. And my Love began. I quickly called my second Mom and told her help and the first real meal I made was Stuffed Green Bell Peppers and Scalloped Potatoes which later became one of my most famous dishes especially the Scalloped Potatoes. The next thing was one afternoon I was going to pay the P.G.E. bill and they had different papers inside the envelope and one particular paper had a couple of recipes on it. One was Pepper steak. So that was the next thing that I cooked. Later adapting it to my own version. I don’t remember every detail but those were the first two things I learned how to make. And from memory I knew how to make Spaghetti Sauce from scratch. My Grandma Strider always made it when we had family get togethers! And it is my mom’s favorite thing that she cooked and that is my memory of her. It’s funny how I just have a few memories of food. I would think that I would have many from my Aunt Ann. She always cooked. But I can’t remember what. And I spent all my summer’s and winter vacations with her..lol I only remember having to eat those darn peas and carrots or I couldn’t leave the table.. Course I was young when I stayed with them. But I do have amazing memories of all the things that went on in that house and all the love that I received. And I believe that my Uncle Jumbo and Aunt Ann made a great impact on my life and instilled much love in my heart and to have a clean house and be respectful, more than anyone else in my life. So I dedicate this cook book to them in the line of Good memories. I hope this Cook Book will bring great memories for my children and grandchildren and their children to come.
ENJOY!

Other great cooks in my family were my Grandma Mary and my Aunt Penny….I also developed my grandma Mary’s barbecue Chicken and remember Aunt Penny’s pizza bread and her banana fritters…..and all my find children who have become great cooks!
