On my Coffee Table...

Such a busy little place it is my coffee table.. I don't think I could enjoy an empty coffee table at all... If fact I don't think I could completely enjoy anything totally with nothing sitting of it... I have been told that I'm definetely Victorian... because of the many things I have around.. Well take a look at this lovely Teapot.. the Blue color is devine... I love love the color of Blue that it is...This is a Hall Teapot from I think back in the 1940's or earlier I can't remember for sure.. They come in many colors but this one Blue color is one of which aren't many.. The first one I purchased back a few months ago was a lovely burgandy but it arrived broken and I was all to sad because it was in perfect condition.. the gold was nice as you will find many of them are worn on the gold parts.. this one is perfect conditon as well so glad the price wasn't much as most of them if you look well you can find the cheaper ones.. At any rate I adore them...

I love the style and I love the gold all around it it  makes it sort of fancy like elegant if you may... don't you think so ?

And a sweet teacup to match... I think they are the perfect match.. It has a lovely Blue Morning Glory inside and some other Blue tiny flowers .. It looked much better in person than my photo came out..

See the sweet Morning Glory I love Morning Glories ... This teacup speaks Spring to me... I thought it would be a great lift me up post.. to see something lovely and sunny...

I have found another one on Ebay and one more but its on bid so i might not win it.. but it's okay.. I would like to have four if possible but two will do..

I have another teapot the same style but a little bit smaller than the Blue one.

And I love this one just as much as the others... It's a creamy Off white... I'm looking for some teacups to match but haven't found a good price on any so far.. I did find one set but the price was to high...

I do have this sweet Rose teacup for now.   I have had this one for quite a while it came from United Kingdom... It was one of the first several teacups I had purchased on line...

The backside has a Yellow Rose and little burnt Orange one..

Sweet candle...

Sweet dish of vintage dress and round potholders....

A stack of writing journals, besides the Gone with Wind Book... I love to use them for writing recipes in.. I found all these at the Goodwill a couple weeks ago.. sometimes you find some really pretty ones for way cheap compaired to the regular stores which usually are 10 dollars and above... don't know if you can see the pretty white beaded one.. The thick one a friend gave it to me last year Christmas it has doggie foot prints all over it and on the pages.. so nice of him... I'd say that I have a busy coffee table..but honestly I like all of my things.  I change my coffee table often.. I added a lot of greens to it this time I wanted a change...

A little oval photo..

A new Fire King Sugar bowl with lid.. you have no idea how long I have been trying to find a one in good shape for a decent price.. well this was a bit more than I would usually pay.. but since it was in such great condition I happly purchased it.. It is lovely indeed...
So now I have the Creamer and Sugar Bowl
Two sets of cups and saucers
Four dinner plates and a Oval platter..
I so wish they had a tea pot to match
There is one Teapot I have seen on Pinterest it's lovely with a green glass knob on top, boy I wish
I'm sure it doesn't even exsit because other than this I have never seen one like it...

I do have a green teapot but wrong color green...

Well I hope that you have enjoyed your visit... I love when you stopp in, I enjoy your comments as always
The New Year is almost here
wishing you a safe entry..

Tea with Brambly Hedge....

Tea time with Brambly Hedge ... Good evening friends stopping in for a quick post since I'm at Mama's dropping off a few things for Christmas day.. I'm not celebrating Christmas but instead doing a family day ...
I wanted to share my new tea cup and saucer with you, I love love my new tea cup and saucer
It's the Winter tea cup and saucer from The Brambly Hedge family.. so sweet I been drinking tea in it ever since..

Isn't he cute...

I have also purchased another one for Summer Tea... but I hadn't read the description well enough so the saucer is actually a bread plate, so I have to search for a saucer...

All ready for tea time....

I also found this little sweet tin.  I didn't know what I was going to do with it ... but the other day I thought I'm going to put my teas inside it instead of having them in different places.. so I put some regular tea and some Vanilla Chamomile tea.. my favorite these days..  It's just perfect...

My paperwhites have finally bloomed they seemed to have took forever to grow... I love the tiny delicate flowers ...

I also love my kitchen window the site outside isn't to hot...So I have my window with things I love...

I wish all of my lovely blogger friends a lovely holiday and time with your families
with much love

Gone with the Wind....

Isn't this just marvelous I found this among the things in Mama's stuff.. I was surprised.. So I was going to put it up for auction.  But then I thought why not give it a whirl and read the thing.. I love the movie and I have heard about the book.. Recently I went to Walgreen's and while checking out the magazines I saw the Life magazine. It's front cover was I believe 75 year aniversary.  So I purchased it, the whole magazine was devoted to Gone with the Wind.. It's really nice the cost was $13.00 but in my opinion it was worth it front to back was the whole issue Gone with the wind..

So come to find out it was a San Francisco Library book and from 1946

First Chapter,

Scarlett O'Hara was not beautiful, but seldom realized it when caught by her charm as the Tarleton twins were.  In her face were too sharply blended the delicate features of her mother, a Coast aristocrat of French decent, and the heavy ones of her florid Irish father.  but it was an arresting face.  pointed of the chin, squared of  jaw.  Here eyes were pale green without a touch of hazel, starred with baristly black lashes and slightly tilted at the ends.  Above them, her thick black brows slanted upward, cutting a startling oblique line in her magnolia white skin-- that    skin so prized by Southern women  and so carefully guarded with bonnets, veils and mitten against hot Georgia suns.......

It's funny that in the book they protrait her as not pretty...
I was thinking that it would be a nice thing to pass it around among blogger friends to read if they were interested... Humm would anyone be interested?  course you'd have to be patient because it has 1o37 pages.

This was inside the pages, from 1983 they must of had a review of the movie ..
According to the new Life magazine Margaret Mitchell had a ruff time.. and had to sell the rights of the movie. I can't remember  what it said..

Sweet Brambly Hedge....

Brambly Hedge is a community of mice that carry out their daily activities and live in homes that have intriguing addresses like. Crabapple Cottage and the Old Oak Palace and the Hornbeam Tree.  I have just recently discoved the Mice Of Brambly Hedge.... I adore them completely !  there is Poppy Eyebright and Primrose Woodmouse  who live there.. There is Mrs. Crusty Bread , Teasel  such sweet names... Mr & Mrs. Apple.. By Jill Barklem..

I received this little story book today in the mail.. I was very excited indeed. It's so cute.. I love Primroses and these are just like the ones I have in my Garden...

It's a story about someone's birthday, a little mouse named Wilfred, Mr. & Mrs. Toadflax are his parents...

Everyone was planning a birthday party for him, and he didn't know it ..
Just before my book I had ordered a little trinket round with a lid.. It has this Spring design on the lid... They are quite pricie but if your patient maybe you will find a good deal...

It's so silly cute to me the chacraters are sweet as can be.. I would love to purchase many more items..  I do have a winter tea cup and saucer on it's way.. I'm trying to get a Spring cup and saucer.. I'm just simply enchanted with them.. I will show you when they arrive...

Today on the street as I was driving by and off to Mama's house me and Victoria.. I saw this end table antique but I couldn't get the drawers to open.. sadly.. but on the ground in a small box I saw some glass things, not that I need anymore with all the things I have or Mama has but they caught my eye..

I thought there were only two but underneath some other wapped items were two more.. I thought they were so cute

Just need to find some saucers to go with them.. I thought they'd be great for the grandbabies.. so I set them aside and continued looking..

These were there as well, they remind me of the new clear depression glass I found at the Goodwill, one has a tiny chip underside the top of the flower looking part, but you can't see it.. adorable for me.. I usually never stop and look at anything on the street.. but today I did.. I didn't get what I was after but got these little pieces instead.. ..

Got this little item too... I thought it would be great for decor in the bathroom at Mama's house. Either some cute little soaps like back in the days or cotton balls.. I already have two other's one larger round and another with more of a pop belly so to speak.. so q-tips etc.. I plan to use a old  cabinet I have down stairs at Mama's for the sink in the bathroom and old buffet piece.. it's dark wood but I'm going to paint it white..
O and if your wondering what's in the back ground...
I will show you..

I just got these from Ebay old Avon.. I always wanted the pitcher one
but never could find all the parts at one time.. then I could never find the stopper.. and the other little piece I never even saw before in my life.. but it's so cute I found them for such a price.. I'm not quite sure what it was but It has a plastic piece on the top with holes so maybe powder or pouporri.. at any rate I love the both of them.  My bathroom will be in these colors with white.. I have the towels already and the bath carpets and a curtain with Hydrangeas in this color and sort of blue turquoise,  just need a curtain for the window which is a long wall window but only so much high.  and some things for the wall..

O and behind those are my new Martha and George Goblets.. I have two already that I have had for years but decided I wanted two more to use them on the table for dinning.. Though I never in all the years realized they were just that Martha and George Washington.. wonder why.. I found my first two at Saver thirft store years ago.. I love the internet for this purpose of information.

Brambly Hedge Tea Party...
Let's join them
I hope that you've gone by and visit Susan Branch's Blog..
I love visiting ..
have a blessed evening
