Victoria, and I'm sick...

Yuk, I just dis like being sick...  As  I'm sure everyone does...  I'm really not a stay in bed person so it's even harder for me...  I just can't deal with laying around...   Dr said that I'm ok just have a ugly cold that's in my head and chest...  I thought I had the makings of a sinus infection my face feels like it going to fall off or I'm going to rip it off lol.  My whole cheek area hurts but, she said to soon for antibiotics, in my opinion dumb... But ok dr.
But at any rate before going to the ER yea
Sterday I stopped at Safeway to get some swiss chard and a salad...  And remembered to pick up the new Victoria which always suooths my soul...
Even Sweetpea said ok mommie I'm ready...
So we sat down in the bed and opened her up...
To lovely deserts pretty White cake yum...
I have to say I have been wanting to make home made marshmellows forever so soon as I'm feeling better guess what I will be doing...  Just that, these are peppermint ones they sounds so divine in a cup of hot cocoa...
I love peppermint candy canes...  I have the little round candies all the time...
It has the recipe in the back yay...

I love love this bed and White Tree even though I no longer celebrate the holidays...
      Pretty and very vintage...
      Vintage stockings...
December plants and paper whites, wrapped with pretty Red ribbons...
I forgot to check at Safeway for the bubls, last year they had a small bag for two dollars...  I will have to go back and check...
I love this dinning area...  I love the chairs and  lace table cloth all so very pretty...  It suits me just fine...
      Christmas in the clouds sweet...
You need to step out and get your own dear copy of Victoria...  If your a Victorian lady like me and you love vintage Victorian you will love this magazine I have been buying it for almost twenty three years now...  My daughter Victoria will be 22 in March this coming new year and I stareted reading it when I was pregnant with her...   So nard to believe the time has flown by and I will be turning 58 years old next month...   It sure does go by quickly and you pause for a moment and think where did it all go...  The kids are all grown and I have 13 grandchildren...  My uncle called me yesterday, mamas brother and he mentioned he was the last of them and in my mind I was saying gosh hes right after he's gone the older generation of my mamas will be gone.  On my dad's side Still have two aunts...  It's a funny thing and feeling...  He also told me my great grandma saved a lot of things...   He said that's where mama got it from...  lol...  I guess...   Well one day in the future all the junk will be gone and we can hopefully start a slow process of fixing...   The most important things first...
Going to finish up my vintage crocheted hanger today...  To keep myself busy but not physically too busy...  I can crochet sitting up in bed or on the couch...
I'am almost done with this part so then I have to stitch it around the hanger, well I just crochet it on...  A old wooden hanger which are coming hard to find and on line they want a arm and a leg for them...  But I was fortunate recently and found a bundle for can you believe it 99cents. i was shocked and so very happy...  I have made a White one with a bit of Blue for my new bedroom at Mamas when ever I get there...  But I wanted a pink one for now...  The rest will be in Blues for later...
Well think it's time to rest a bit...  Wishing you a most wonderful new week...  I will be back soon...
                            With love
                                   Janice,Louise...

  1. Hope you feel better soon. I love crochet hangers, I have made several. I also like to paint wooden hangars and then stamp them. I love the look of the magazine, just my kind of thing.

  3. Janice, so sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I have had too many sinus infections, so know what you are going through. Enjoy your lovely Victoria magazine and plan what you will do when you're better. I will be a decade older than you tomorrow. Totally agree about time. I look in mirror and think, who are you, certainly not me. Ha! That old lady just keeps appearing. Feel better.

  5. Ooooo, love this magazine. And it's perfect for your daughter, as her name is Victoria. I'll have to get one next time I'm at the store. There's a lot of great ideas in here. Your bunny is sweet - I just love cloth dolls and animals.

Have a peaceful weekend, Janice. I hope you feel better soon. :)
