Happy Weekend Ya'll....

Heloo everyone, it's the weekend once again. I'm going to be working on my cabinet this weekend as long as the weather allows me to..if not then I will have to work on the cabinet doors inside...What will you be doing this weekend.???

Well I have new neighbor's upstairs...remember I told you the passed one was just crazy.
I think God, well I know God has blessed me with a sweet loving woman with loving children. I'm ever so grateful we have bonded already.
It's very exciting, we went for a short walk this morning and chatted in the Garden it was very lovely.
And guess what, we are going to Church together on Sunday.
I'm very very excited...he blessed me with a Angel!!!
I just love her already...
I thought I would share this lovely looking Tea Bread with you. I found it on a friends Facebook page the other day...It just looked so pretty. I want to try and make it soon. Just need to get the Lavender.

Lavender Tea Bread-

Ingredients:

3/4 cup milk

2 Tbsp. dried lavender flowers, finely chopped, or 3 Tbsp. fresh chopped flowers
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs

Grease a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Heat milk with lavender almost to a boil, then steep until cool.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt together in bowl.
In another bowl cream butter and gradually add sugar, then eggs, one at a time, beating until light and fluffy.

  4. It didn't have a frosting, but it looks like its a powdered sugar glaze...you can probably add a lite lemon with the lavender or just add some drops of milk with it...depending which you like...

  7. I am delighted that you have a nice new neighbor. We own 1/2 of a duplex and the other half just sold . . . and is becoming a rental. I met the young woman who is moving in, but not her husband. If he is as nice as she, then it looks like I have some new sweet neighbors, too.
I have really been praying about it . . . So, I too am feeling blessed. Looks like we both have a lot to be thankful for :)
Thanks for your sweet visit, I am enjoying getting to know you better, Connie :)

  8. Janice the cake looks so good, I made the biscuits you posted the recipe for a few posts ago,and they turned out beautiful. They got eaten before I got a chance to ice them. I'm going to make another batch and hide them until I can ice them. Love the lavender teacup and glad you've found a new friend. x
