Good afternoon, it's rather warm and I'm glad. I just came over to Mom's to drop off some Soup and Tamales for her. Yesterday I spent the day cleaning some things and cooking...I decided I wanted some soup and some Tamales to accompany them. Just some plain ones with just cheese and green salsa and they came out great. This is my Tea Pot that I don't have the lid to...so I just used a plate...lol...I was thinking I should try to find one for it....
Trying to decided which Tea cup to use...Hummmm ....
I think I will use this doily and this Tea cup....
As you can see I like cream and sugar in my Tea....not all the time but most...
I think it's just a bunch of photos today to share.... I used several cups of Instant Masa, with hot boiling water w/a small amount of consume bullion powder, w/about a half cup of oil, I don't like using lard cause it makes my tummy not feel good...
Homemade salsa verde...
Just like that and wrap them up fold them and put them in the steamer....
And a warm Pot of Caldo de Res...which is Beef soup...which I love the soup and Tamales were great...lol we even ate it for breakfast this morning....
Thank you for stopping by and letting me share my photos with you...I hope you enjoy Tea with me and Caldo de Res and Tamales...have a lovely evening with love Janice....

This is my old soap dispenser that I found again when I was moving the things in my storage...I have missed it and it fits rite in...
I'm tired out today, I went with Mom and my sister and daughter to take Mom to pick up her new glasses and we got food to go...nice didn't have to cook yippie....well just wanted to share my towels with you cause I thought they were so cute...wishing you a lovely evening ...hope you enjoyed your three day weekend..with love Janice

In Memory of My Uncle....Owen Albert Strider Jr.
In Memorial of My Uncle, Owen Albert Strider Jr.
It's amazing when you can go back and find something from the past. I had always heard about my great uncle. I only had remember seeing on picture of him and hearing some short stories about him. One being that he had a very strong temperament. My Father used to talk about his older brother being something else and I remember at a young age knowing that he wasn't with us any longer. He is buried at the Golden Gate Cemetery in San Francisco California. Today I came to visit my Mom and my niece Julie was here and she shared some information with me about my Uncle...THANK YOU SO MUCH...
This is a picture of him.
Owen Albert Strider Jr. (1923-1942)
The USS Boise,
I was indeed very excited to see this of course, my father has been gone for about ten years so we no longer hear any stories of the past... Sad but true...
This is the ship that he was on...
In this magazine My Uncle's Death was listed...Life magazine... this is all new information that I never new and I'm not sure if my Father new either... He was a young 19 years of age when he left this earth...(crazy) I knew he was young but didn't realize he was that young..I know my Father was Born in March 20, 1935 so my Father was 12 years old when his brother die in the War...Wow..I believe it was World War ll, Navy...may he R.I.P. and my Father too...Gary Bruce Strider Sr. here's to your older brother Father...Memories are short sometimes...Some are long..My memory of my Uncle has only been of stories that my Father told me and I'm glad I have those memories...
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO EVERYONE...MAY YOU BE BLESSED WITH THE PRESENCE OF GOD...
WITH LOVE JANICE.....

Well Good afternoon friends...I was checking other blog like I do and found this pattern for a crocheted butterfly and I thought o yeah let me try and do this...it was from Mixin it up with DaPerfectMix' She crochets...
It all started out well
The body started out well, at least I think..though I might have not done something right. I do not read directions well...I never really have. I have tried to learn to read them..and are still trying.

Time is moving, as the Garden is growing..........
The time is passing bye, my grandchildren are growing into their own little peoples...My oldest granddaughter graduated from High School Yesterday from the same school that her Mom and Dad met at...seemed like a life time ago...They were both 15 years of age and didn't finish...Yesterday was the most proudest of days...I was so so proud of her I had so many tears in my eyes to see her accept her diploma.. He mother and father are not together and haven't been for a long while they broke up in the beginning and later got back together and had another child then broke up for good...sad but true..but some how yesterday they managed for their daughter to be civil people and come together...It was the best...My granddaughter was so happy that her father attended, that's all she talked about for the whole day..."I can't believe my dad came" over and over again. So proud of her Mom who pushed her to get to the top ... I love my granddaughter to the sky and back...A very exciting day indeed...
Well my Garden is growing I found my first few Strawberries Red this morning and a few more lit White pinkish Roses and picked them
I didn't get a chance to eat them cause I had to rush off to Mom's house....but I put the roses in a little clear vase and my Strawberries will be awaiting me later... most things are growing. The tomatoes have blooms already and my burgundy green bean are doing well. My collard greens and peas are doing good... can't wait to see what produces...
Wishing you a lovely weekend....with love Janice...

Pink doilies and Pink Roses
Good Evening, but It's for the morning cause I won't be here. I will be at home...which I have been doing a lot of staying home. I have been spring cleaning. I just have to do the Living Room and I'm done for now...It always feels good when your house is clean clean...I got up early and made some Tea in my Pink Rose Tea pot...I used this oval Rose tray that a dear friend sent to me...it's the first time I ever used it. It's been sitting in the Living Room for a while now.
It was a beautiful morning in the Garden...My Rose tea/spoon holder I got from the local drug store.
This is my Pink Sugar bowl & creamer I have had as well for a long long time in the attic at Mom's
Isn't this an interesting bug...I thought so, so I took a picture of him ...My last pink star doily that I made...and the other day I went to Love Joy's Tea Store, to buy my Pansy Tea Pot and it was gone I nearly died...but I bought this White & Pink doily...and I'm re-doing it I just love it..
Isn't it pretty, I'm hoping I can do the edging on it....I believe I can It doesn't look to hard...
In the Garden having Tea and Crocheting, so nice nothing better in the early morning.
I'm more than have way now, but, I forgot to take another picture. I should finish the square soon and then start on the edging. I decided to make it lilac...I wish I had a multi color like the pink on the original one...but I couldn't find one..so we will see what happen with the lilac...
I hope that you enjoyed my Rose Tea Pot and My pink Doily, I hope that you have a most lovely enchanting Wednesday day with love Janice
