Monday's Chatter...

     Hello my dear sweet blogger's
I'am a bit tired today but I believe it is due to all the stress in my life children grandchildren house etc... The other day, Saturday I went out in the wind and pouring rain...  I felt the need to just step out...  It didn't seem to matter to me whether it was snowing..  I just needed air...  So I told my older daughter let's go...  Ma it's raining...  My reply, I don't care let's go...
So Glad we did, well I was glad that I did,  I'm not quite sure how everyone else felt about it... The rain felt great as if I hadn't a care in the world...  When is the last time you were out in the rain or if ever, and on a city bus going place to place...  Me not for a long time and I rather enjoyed it...  We went to the place called Thrift town a rather large second store and I found these adorable birds for a whopping 69 cents each I thought it to be rather amazing... I Love birds so I feel like since God couldn't give me real ones cause I already have one...  He gave me these to smile at...
I was really surprised they were so inexpensive because they look brand new...
We this morning in San Francisco had a lovely bout of hail...  I so remember the hail storms' as a child when it would just pour out from the sky and I would get so excited and want to play in it, today I felt the same way as if I wanted to go out and stand in it...  I was trying to pick it up to show my grandson Isaiah ...  Course I got dirt along with the tiny little pieces...
Awe here is a piece no dirt...
Can you see all the tiny pieces in the
Pot...  So fun... It has cleared a bit now...  So I was able to step out side to play with my birds and see the mess in the Garden...
     They fit in just perfect...
There is a bit of sun out so they all hopped on the brick borders...
I think when I die, I would like to be burried among the trees and flowers and the birds...  A peaceful place where things that God created surround me...  Though I will be in a deep sleep I shall be content...

My Jasmine is starting to bloom...  I have loved Jasmine and Honey suckle all my life...  Though I have not bought a honey suckle tree yet ...
My snowball tree it survived yay...   So happy when I move to mama's I will put it in the grown there I just love it...  It was a slit from the garden next to me...  It was quite far over but last year a seed some how blew over next to the apple tree which stands next to my fence and it grew up and I looked one day because I always water the apple tree...  And said is it could it be..  But I still could not reach it and when I finally could it's roots had already been established deep within because I could not pull it out... But I did manage to pull a piece off not knowing anything about it except that I was in love with it...  Stuck a piece in water...  And to my surprise it made roots, I could not believe it...  I mention this before in a past post...  But I wasn't sure if it would return after I had planted it and it coming back... Yay yay...
This is the small one...  The lower photo is the larger piece...

The pretty Camelias all over the garden floor...
The light Pink ones on the other side of the garden...

The Apple mint is coming out strong...
The Chocolate not as much and they are close by each other but maybe it needs to be moved over...
      Spearmint is coming out new...
       Prim roses everywhere popping up...
     Daisy's tooo...  Pansy's too...

The storm made such a mess after I had cleaned quite a bit...
My Pink Geraniums...   Are blooming too...

Sweet fairy all dirty from the storm...
     And the large Turquoise bird...
I hope where ever you are your day is grand and your Spring is on it's way too...  Waiting ever so patiently for Spring to arrive...

Good day my dearest ones....   with love...   Janice...

Just a bit of Roses...

Finally I have gotten the top of this dresser in my room cleaned.  I have never been one for not cleaning but this past year seems like I have slowed down very much, all my get up and go is well maybe not...  I seemed to be tired out these days, all the days...
I love this rose pattern  by Franciscan called Desert Rose...  It reminds me of my aunt she had the whole set.
I found the cups and saucers two different times way back when, but these shakers I found on ebay for a really cheap price...  It's the possibility because one is lighter and the other darker, but no matter to me...  I think it's more character...
I found this creamer at a good-will few year ago...

Pretty Rose box I found at Michael's craft place for a few dollars...  I love all the boxes like this, so pretty...
Inside has a few things I recently crocheted and a new hoop and embroidery threads that I have a plans for...

I also found some variegated ones which I never saw before...
I Love this pretty Red candle holder, found it for 99 cents at Thrift town...  I don't need much these days actually I probably don't need anything at all... Lol
Some of my Great Grandmother's handkerchiefs...
Such pretty crocheted edgings on some of them...
All clean now...  I think I should stay home today and finish cleaning the living room,  Spring is almost here I should get a head start on my Spring cleaning...
              HAPPY WEEKEND,       ...with love Janice...

Wednesday chatter

H     A typical overcast morning in the city which in my mind I haven't seen in a while...  Yesterday was a beautiful day and the day before...  Much sunshine all day...  Just like spring...  It is alway exciting when the weather changes and you know spring is near...
I have been busy working on my granny square blanket I so love it and I have been wanting to make this blanket for several years but didn't have the chance  to do so...  But I finely was able to start...  I crocheted 42 beautiful large squares full of color, just here and there no real preference on it...
I haven't used yarn in a while, probably three years ago when I made my grandson Isaiah's baby blanket...  When he was sitting with me in bed in the evening and he is always talking I'm explaining to him that I'am making a blanket and I told him I made him one already and He looked me like where is it at...  Go ask mommie I told him, so he did but, it was do for a wash so the next morning it got washed and dried...  My daughter gave it to him so for a couple of days he had his self wrapped up in it..

Teatime, all this time I haven't used my Greengate teapot, so I thought it was high time that I did...
I truly want to buy a Greengate teacup but I have to wait on it...  There is one that I have my eyes on...
It really speaks spring..  Lovely roses and butterflies...
     Sweet delicate flowers...

A sweet Homer Laughlin Fiesta teacup and saucer...
It was such a beautiful day and I felt wonderful and why not feel more wonderful with a lovely teapot and teacup, pretty linens and some pretty crochet...  These days this is my place and way of feeling good...

And some Romantic Country to top it off when you get tired of crocheting full of lovely Ideas and pretty photos...

I love the Turquoise touches...  Dreamin...  Thinking...
Totally vintage...  When I see things like this I wish I had magic to blink mama's house into beautiful faster style...  We are still cleaning it 's been a slow process we've been kind of on hold due to other issues but this oast weekend we did do some cleaning and you really can see progress in the basement finally...  But there is still probably half to go...  I know one day I will bet there with God's help...
I love love this living room...  I could not get a good picture but it's light and airy, and I'm really thinking I want this for Mama's house...  Well similar...

Yesterday, me and my oldest daughter went for a walk around mama's house down these bunch on old cement stairs that I used to walk up and down as a child going to and from school...  At the bottom of the long stair way across the street is a dirt road as we called it as children,  way after I had grown up they right next to the road made a community garden...  And my daughter as a child played there and helped plant etc...  On the way home she mentioned it and I was busy looking around and I saw this beautiful tree in bloom with such pretty Blue Lavender color to it...  I just had to have a piece...
So I pulled off a piece and I had a tiny coat of flowers in my hair all over my sweater but in my eyes it was well worth it the tree is just beautiful...  I really just wanted to dig it up and bring it to Mama's house and put it into the garden...
I have no idea what this tree is but I'm in love....

I love taking walks...  It was the perfect day...  My panic was high yesterday so it helped to take a quiet walk and see some beauty...
Wishing you a lovely day today,  with love Janice...
