Wednesday Chatter...

Good mornin,  I woke up at the crack of dawn I say...  Tried to stay in bed but It just wasn't happening.    So around 6am I got up..  And here I'am ready for the day I think...  Yesterday afternoon I decided to change my dinning room tablescape...
Using these ironstone plates I found last year on ebay.  For some reason they are very appealing to me, I think it is the daisy's and the soft blue.  I love daisies to start with and the touches of soft blue made me think warmth and country....
Later found salad plates to match....
I used a old placemat that I had only two of on each end, then on the opposite sides I used a plain ribbed square placemat ...
It started because I found these two large fulted glasses at the Goodwill the other day...  As you may know I love Blue glass...  And I fell in love with these two..   Thinking and teasing my daughter one day I will drink bubbly Champaign out of them...
See them in the center area...  They are a light blue... So pretty...
I used my diamond cut plain glass tumblers that I found in mama things, brand new in a box and my large George Washington goblets that I found thrifting with mama back when...
And for two settings my federal blue glass teacups which are a lighter blue and then darker blue saucers...  Found two different times thrifting but they worked just fine together...  When I found the teacups they had no saucer, but I just loved them with the thought that maybe one day I find the matching saucers, but never did...  And one day I found the two darker saucer and thought why not and they worked perfect...  So a set was born...  You never know what was meant to be until it happens....
Then on two opposite sides I used a set of grannie teacups...  I mix matched everything...

I used two cloth napkins a light lace one and a heavier soft blue one ...

I love when the sun peeps about in the dinning room, it make's the blue glass so pretty..  I was trying to capture it as I was seeing it, bit it didn't work to well...

Nothing fancy, just plain and simple kind of country...

So the table is set...  I have just one more area to clean and dust and that's my little ole broke down hutch that I found on dad's truck...  Full of glass that I have collected over the years...  A big chore if I decide to wash everything suppose to just dusting will see what they need...

So that's it for Wednesday chatter, wishing you a lovely day,  just a bit of country a elegance in it's own....
                       With love... .  .   Janice

  4. Your blue table setting is lovely, Janice. I won't bore you with all I've been doing the past month which has left me feeling rather weary. We shampooed the carpets today which is why I'm late visiting your post. Thank you for sharing and linking and enjoy the rest of your week, my friend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  5. You have such an amazing collection of china and glassware, Janice. Love, love, love all these blue pretties. Your table looks so pretty. Those curtains at the window are rather lovely too. It sounds as if your home is shining from top to bottom.
