Wednesday Chatter...

Early Good morning to you My dearest...
I'm drained today.  Yesterday day was a emotional day for me and it just drained me out.  The last vew days have been nice here in San Francisco, but this morning it looks as if it wants to rain...  And the way I feel that is just fine for me.  I took off the shelf my Gracie teapot which I dearly love with it's soft blue and it's sweet rose buds all over...
It is one of my first teapots I bought and I'm sure I've mentioned this in the past...  And it was the first full set I ever bought..  Myself I tend to buy pieces here and there mix matching matching etc...
This morning I'm taking tea with a spot of honey instead of a pinch of sugar...  I have gotten my self to where I barely use sugar at all...sometimes it is just a wee sprinkle of sugar and in the evening time I use nothing..

Yesterday I was at mamas house most of you know that my oldest daughter stays there at the moment... But, anyways I was in the room that used to be my dad's it's where I put a bunch of things that I think I might want to keep and honestly I don't even remember what I put in there..  So Iwas snooping around and I found this contact paper ...  Do people still use this ...  Well I brought it home to do I don't have a clue what with...  But, this morning I decided to cover this tray at the bottom...  I think it is sweet...   Mama like it...

                It works for me...
The matching sugar bowl....  I love it, this pattern on the sugar bowl...

Do you own any corning ware, I do and mama has pieces at her house...  I have had it for years and mine is the blue corn flower...  I have always liked it....
I'am always surfing around online some place some where and I saw this piece which I don't have but then in my mind I remembered I have it at mamas house in my dish cabinet there...  And the handle piece I have had two here forever and never used them...

This piece is a sauce pan with measuring inside maybe when your doing things that have to do with baking etc...  Not real sure though...  But at any rate I'm glad I found it all...  The handle is neat it took a second to figure it out,  the very end turns and you connect it to the lip then turn it back to lock it in place...  The things they made back when, today just does not compare at all...  These are older than me pretty much..  .
This pot I use everyday for boiling my water.. .  Found it at a Goodwill across the bay six years ago when I lived there.  I love the crisp White and the sweet Blue corn flower motif...
Eventually I will be selling some pieces,  even though my heart doesn't want to it is logical I don't need them all.  So I will pick out what I need and off with the rest.. .
This is so cute, a little lotus flower tiny dish, I got it at that same store.  Think it is great for your tea bag or spoon at teatime...  I want to go back there soon...  Well, I think I'm going to park on my couch for a while do some crocheting and relax..  I wish you all a most enchanting day filled with love and affection...   With love ...  .  Janice

Tea in the early morning hours... with roses

Oh good morning to you my dears,
I hope you are doing well this lovely summer morning...  You know today is the first day of summer in the United States that is and  I'am up early as usual.  I can not stay in bed long my body has always said get up and find the sun though some days there is none.  But in my little flat cottage I have manage to make my own sunshine most days...  Well the water is on and I'm going to make tea in my pretty little rose tea pot and I have curled up on my little ole couch...
I purchased it a few years back but never had used it until this morning...  I love the spray of roses that sits across the front..  Whimsical and delicate all at the same time...

What I say can be more prettier than lovely pink roses in the morning...
The tray is ready and the water is boiling time to make tea...

The doily in the middle is a doily that I copied from a old vintage one I once upon a time found at a thrift store...
I also made the small ones as well...
A tiny pink depression glass sugar keeper...
Sometimes I use a touch of lemon... What about you...  How do you take your tea, is it always the same or do you change...  I used to use cream but I can not have dairy anymore...  But I used to switch sometimes...  Awe this just made me remember along time ago I think I was seventeen and I had a kind of a lunch date.  I remember getting tea and i was so nerves I put cream and lemon and curdled my tea how embarassed I was o gosh..  Silly memory...  He laughed though,  I'm sure I wanted to sink into my seat at the time...  I had forgotten about it...  Good ole memories of life's special moments...
Awe sweet tea and thoughts of the past...  As we age and if your like me single these days and even if not...  We need to make special days for ourselves. Special moments and memories and what a better way with special teapots and teacups from the past, that someone owned and loved just as much...  Only if they could tell us the past teatime occasions...   Life is short and age comes fast...  But it is good to be able to look back at something good...  Special teatimes warms my heart and builds good thoughts and memories...  My children say I have to many things and perhaps I do, but they make me happy and it's my own world outside of the one we all live in which at times can be harsh...  Find something special. Like teatime with special little rose teapots and rose teacups...  And make memories in your own heart...
This little rose teacup is from Homer Laughlin...  I have many of his patterns and this one I love because it has a softness about it...

The saucer is equally pretty...   The shakers below were the first things I bought...
Then came the teacups and a bowl and a creamer and a few other pieces...

Well, I have enjoyed my morning and teatime with you...  It's the first day of summer what shall I do...  What shall you be doing today???  Wishing you Love and hugs from me to you,
        With love,

A Good Day... In The Garden...

Good day dearest,  it is finally a lovely day in the Garden...  First thing I had a lovely little humming bird come right next to me and stay just for a minute doing it's little wings away then drove off into the sky.  Funny thing yesterday on the phone I had told my older daughter at mama's house in my garden they always came when I watered, playing in the water as I sprayed it up for them..  They would dance around for a while and come right next to my face.  But here I have never had one in the garden...  So amazing after speaking of it, one appears to me...  I feel God knows how much I love his flying creations...  They are indeed my favorite...
The blackberries are comin and I have to race the birds for they will eat them up right away...  I had to climb on the garden chair hoping it would stay stable I got about a hand full and the thing was I could see more through the fence but not reach them. Ugh..
The fig tree has expanded out this year into my garden which I love last year they cut it back and I was sad because it was hard to reach any, but this year I know I can reach them..  I see little ones coming about..  Yay 😀
There is one larger green one but you can't see it to well..
My Apple mint nice and smells so good...
This is a huge avocado tree and is full of them, the ones that been dropping the raccoons are getting them and eating I have been finding seeds on the floor...  They are high up and even on a chair I can't reach them,  i don't have a ladder...
Strawberries are doing well..  I picked already before the photo a good hand full...
Peter and his mom...  Don't mind his ear it got a wee bit damaged ...  But hes ok...
A hydrangea not sure if it is Blue because no blooms last year was still small...  But I believe this year it will bloom...

A lot of fallen little apples over the fence...

The tree is full of them and has extended into my garden yay again...

       Apple pie soon...

Lovely things in the garden...  Pretty flowers and such...

And now for breakfast....  Wash my berries...  Make my oatmeal...

       A cup of tea...

                         Happy Saturday,   With love...  Janice
