Thursday's chatter...

     Well morning,
Guess what,  it is offically Fall today...  Hooray my season, the one that I just love...  The crisp cool air, the leaves falling, though I hate cleaning them up in my garden...  But this time of year just seems special..  We can start baking warm cozy things...  Yesterday again I made a plum tarte,  I had some plums and they needed to be used it is the same recipe I recently used.  It is so simple and I like it..
     Plums all ready...
Some flour, butter, sugar, pinch of salt, baking powder, couple eggs mix it all up ...
It just seem to be perfect yesterday to make the plum...  I made a pot of tea too...  Love this white and blue rooster teapot...  It is a pleasure to wake up to.
I lite a candle too,  said a prayer for everyones safety....

Scooped the batter into my heart ceramic pan...  Placed the plum halves around and I sprinkled it with sugar and cinnamon...  Extra sugar on the plums just invase they were tart....  And off into the oven it went and it filled the house with plums and cinnamon...
Out it came looking so yummy and smelling so good...  I let it cool a bit then I just had toe taste it...
So I served myself just a little piece...  This recipe is nice it is so simple and easy, not to much so it is not sitting there for days...  Well specially for me because it is just me who would eat it here...
Later I went into the garden to check things out..  It is time to wrapped up the garden almost...
The leaves are falling once again....
The asaragus is still making new shoots, it comes from the garden next store..  It seems to want to be in my garden...  But I love it anyways, so I enjoy it. . It reminds me of one my dad brought from a job that still sits at mamas house...
Some late green beans, my original ones died with bugs..  These are bush and it has some blooms maybe I will get a few...
One bloom coming about on my new tiny hydrangea...
I love this grown cover it has tiny little pink snow balls, so pretty..
I find this funny the purple plant made two different colors I wonder what happened...
     Tiny Geranium...  Pretty pink...
     Tiny marigold's.....

One apple one lemon, from the tree...
Tomatoes are turning red the few I have gotten because of thos silly bugs...
     Chives and some little flowers...
A pansy or two, one even tinier than the next...
     So pretty and tiny...
Lets put them in the window, so when we pass to the kitchen we can see them as the sun shines in....
I want to thank everyone for their kind comments, I have strongly been rhinking maybe when things get a bit more settle..  I will draw and paint again...  I do believe it is time...  I wish I was able to draw and paint,  I really want to take a art glass for watercolor painting..  And a class for pottery..  I will see if money and my panic disorder will allow me to do that soon... But if not I will tey to focus and get back to drawing.  Oh I wish you all a fabulous first day of Fall..  It is love here in the city..  San Francisco..  It is a perfect day for a walk...  See you soon, thank you for your dear visits.. Which we could all have tea together...  With love always, Janice

  1. After putting your lovely blog on my bloglist I'm able to see your new posts right away now. YAY. Happy to hear you're thinking of moving towards painting again. Regarding watercolors, Miss Mustard Seed's blog had a post a week or two ago about a class on watercolor painting that she is doing, or it might have been a book that was teaching her. Her first attempts were really pretty and thought you might enjoy checking it out if you haven't seen it already. r/sharon

  3. Beautiful flower photos but I love your blue and white teapot most, so beautiful. I had lots of plums this year and I see I use the same recipe for plumtart, delicious I think, but I have not such a wonderful heart-shaped baking mold.
