Waiting for some blooms to come on my African violet that I bought last year... It has gotten really healthy.. It was I think one dollar or two they were all beat up maybe you remember..
Anyways this area is done...
I suppose it wouldn't take so long if I didn't have so many things... But When I clean I change all the linens and wipe and dust and move and mop...
I also got this top area clean... Now I need to work on the shelves... So thats my goal today after I pay the bills to do the shelves... Seven on each side.. It won't take long they are mostly videos. Then I will do the surrounding area..
I now keep all my favorite magazines like my Victorias in pretty boxes from Ross... So it looks neater because I have so much in a small area.. This place hasn't any closet storage area, we have one and it's where are linens are... I can't imagine what people think when they build these flats. Mama always told me though she thought at one time it was a single dwelling... Maybe so but upstairs which I have been doesn't have much closet space either..
This is my ten dollar painting which only I love, no one else cares for it.. I found it like eight years ago now at a goodwill near by the place I was living at the time.. Ten dollars, I was surprised because it is a oil painting...
This hangs by my front door.... With all these little hanger pieces on it...
This is a ornament that a sweet lady made on facebook, I had bought one for my daughter and one for me...
A little red velvet teapot....
A sweet ceramic angel...
A porporri heart... A umbrella....
Well, look what I found online it is a sugar bowl to the sweet bowls that I have.. And there was a creamer that someone mention to me but when I went to look it had ended, they reposted and boosted up the price to high for me. One day in the future.. I just love this little sweet sugar bowl...
This is a new find, great deal.. It has grazing.. But it is so pretty I feel the grazing just makes it all the prettier..
What a lovely home you have, Janice. It must be as shiny as a brand new penny with all that cleaning. I love all the little vignettes within your home, so many things filled with love and happy memories. Love the tableau with the photographs within the pretty frames. Love that pretty blue bird peeping in. Again, another sweet teapot....such a pretty pattern. Wishing you a lovely day, lovely Janice.
ReplyDeleteCan understand dusting and cleaning takes a lot of time, you have so many bits and pieces, but I love it. When you are busy with the dusting you come along all your treasures with lots of happy memories. The sugar bowl with pink roses is a real gem and your new teapot too.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely evening Janice!
Hi Janice....Lovely treasures you showed us! So pretty. It's nice to surround ourselves with things we love. Hope you got your bills paid and also that you did something nice for yourself today! Hugs. Susan
ReplyDeleteJanice, your teapot is very pretty. I don't mind crazing at all. Somehow it just adds charm to a piece. I like your little red velvet teapot and the umbrella too. Dusting takes time but when you come upon each little treasure, you get a chance to admire it again. Thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
The red velvet teapot is adorable! I also need to find my motivation to do my dusting...
ReplyDeleteDear Janice,
ReplyDeleteI sense you still miss your mom. There is a church program called Grief Share that might help you in your healing process. I'm attending one now & it is helpful. Your blog is lovely! I feel that I know you. Best wishes in your journey.
