Wednesday chatter...

The morning awaking around me as I open my eyes.  The light just barely appearing through the kitchen window...
Time to put on the kettle for tea so I can open these eyes up...

I have a new teapot, do you know her...  She is miss priss from the 50's era.   I have been looking for her for some years now...  She is always $100.00 and up..  So I recently found her for such a price I couldn't believe it...  The women said she had a chip on her spout...  So I was like ok and bought her anyways because I just love her...  And I could afford it the price she was asking and lucky it wasn't a bid it was buy now Yay yay yay...
When I got her the so called chip I had to almost get a looking glass to see it.  Ridiculous but so glad, she is just adorable.  I don't think I will use her for tea though, not sure about it...
     See that sweet kitty face...
The tea bag holder I got a few months back for a few dollars I was surprised to find it so cheap, they are running now for $55-69 dollars remarkable.  I paid like $6.00 for the whole thing shipping included so fortunate...
Off to open up the shades as I do every morning.. .  To see the light and get good vibes...

     Window in my tiny hallway...

That gold large bottle in the window was probably one of the first things I obtain in my married life finding in on my Dad's truck one day, that started the love of Gold...
The little glass elephant I recently found in Mama's things...  I used to have some other pieces but I'm not sure where they went...  I have many glass knobs some green one's as well...
I think I have put so much in my window's to block the bars on the outside...  I live on the ground floor well the back side of the flat is ground level and so the windows in the kitchen and bathroom dinning rm area have bars...  Because it's right on the ground front area is up from the street, they were already here when I moved in they don't bother me though they just look ugly...  The flowers from the garden..  The purple ones's are dying back now and soon will be gone...  But the yellow one's are just coming out and my gladiolus ...

One of my favorite bottle's it looks better in person...  There is something about it that intrigue's me I also have had it for a long time...

Off through the dinning room to the other bigger hallway to open the living room shades...

     The bigger hallway...

The corners of the mirror...  I had this forever but in storage for a long time...
I love gold frames...  They are so rich...

To the left is the other little round photo, but it is a green color, they are little painted pictures so cute...  These I found in mama's things to can you see the little part where it is tarnished..  I don't know what I should clean it with there are two of them...

Me some years ago...  I love this frame so fancy...  Thrifting find...

More flowers from the garden.. .

My re make of my vintage doily...  I finally blocked it...  Now the ends are nice...  And vintage creamer and sugar, I love the green and yellow...

That's all for today I hope you have a wonderful day today, Happy Wednesday, with love
                                      Janice...

  4. Janice, that kitty teapot is just delightful, I love it! And how special that it's from the 50's era. The tea bag holder is just as cute; I've never seen one quite like it. The gold bottle is very unique and pretty. I think this glass elephant is a treasure because you found it in your mom's things. I think maybe she wanted you to have it. The vintage doily is pretty and it goes just right with the sugar and creamer.

I love seeing all your goodies around your house. You have quite a collection of unique and wonderful things.

    Happy Memorial Day weekend, Janice.

  6. Hi Janice. I seen that you were stretching your doily with straight pins in your post. Will you kindly e-mail me back and let me know how I can stretch some of my doily's that I have from my grandma. I don't know how much starch to use or what kind. And, how do I keep them in the shape they are supposed to be in? I know I tried it before and it is very hard to keep the round perfect circle. Thank you so much. I have not seen a doily being stretched since I was a little girl. I am now 57. Thank you Janice. I always enjoy reading your blog.
    Sincerely,
    Kathy Towers
