The good part is seeing the apple blosooms coming open from the neighbors apple tree
That hangs over into my garden... Apple blosooms are so pretty, these have a light Pink tone to
them...
And the next is the pretty deep fushia colored petunia's openning... I think I have loved Petunia's for a long time... Looking back, and Carnations, but I can't seem to find any seeds of regular large Carnations... If someone knows where I can find the seeds please let me know... I used to grow them all the time...
The Gerbera Daisy's are coming out too...
Purple Pansy's.
Well over the weekend I cleaned cleaned the dinning room and it's all clean except my little hutch with a ton of glass on it...
I set a new spring table... With some new things some old...
I found these plates maybe two years ago and hadn't used them... But they had been in the back of my mind forever... So couple weeks ago I went to Target with my two daughters and found these lovely table mats... Which I fell in love with...
And i bought them... Then I though about those plates... Because they are so soft I thought maybe they would work together and for me they did...
The large plates are Mikasa renaissance antique rose...
Added these , which I love and found like six years ago thrifting...
Then a simple tea cup by Gibson, these I've had forever...
Added two glasses... One which are the wide plastic turquoise that were the last four at Target...
And a tall Iemonade glass... Which I found in Mama's things a brand new eight piece set...
And a small depression green glass plate for cake...
And my two Aqua tree bowls which I love and adore... For pasta and salad...
Two clear fish plates for the Asparagus... I found them thrifting wish there had been four, but
there was only two maybe one day I will run across some more...
A lovely clear glass tilted picture that belong to my Great Aunt Vera... And sweet crystal candle holders, with like a lime colored candle...
This was for Sunday dinner, thought we'd eat in the dinning rm since it was nice and clean...
Clear with gold cake plate....
Clear glass desert cups...
I have come to the conclusion I no longer have any more room for another dish plate cup teacup
Or teapot or anything.... My buffet is full bottom and top the extra tall cabinets are full, well one has magazines that I don't wish to part with...
I try to re- arrange it all after I cleaned it all... But I have to admitt I love it all...
The door is off the tall piece because I need to have some glass re-placed on it. And I keep forgetting to get it done...
This is where my little bird used to sit... Sweet little guy passed away last week... I so miss him...
Miss him singing in the morning... I keep looking for him...R.I.P. little guy...

Janice, Such a lovely post.
ReplyDeleteI found myself crawling into the picture of your dining room table and the delicate curtains on the windows. It reminded me of visiting a house set in the 50s at Strawberry Banke Museum. Your dining room evokes feelings of warmth and coziness. :-)

Hello, Janice, I so enjoyed visiting and seeing your lovely table and all your pretty things. Every little detail is delightful and the little peeks into your beautiful room are wonderful. I am so sorry about your little bird. Mine is right here with me - already 16 years old.....they do steal your heart. So glad that you stopped by my blog for a visit. xoxo Karen
ReplyDeleteLovely table setting, Janice! I especially like the aqua accents. It's so hard to downsize a collection when you love all the items.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I see three places you could put shelves, but won't tell---in order to not be an enabler. Grins, love your stuff....and I would put up the extra shelves, lol. Sandi

ReplyDeleteHello Janice...Love your blues. Also like the aqua glases. You should have your own shop. It would be wonderful. Susan
ReplyDeleteJanice, I do love looking at pictures of your home. It's so cozy and welcoming. wow, you have so many tea cups and saucers, and they fill your home with memories and love. You have a lot of aqua on here, and that's one of my favorite colors. Your garden is doing nicely, and the fuchsia flowers are gorgeous.
