Time in a pound cake....

Woke up this morning with a notion to bake something...So I got out some old Victoria magazines...and found this most wonderful vanilla pound cake well at least in my opinion.. So it called to make two loaves and since i haven't anyone around and I'm not trying to eat a ton...so here's the recipe for one loaf..

                                                            Vanilla Pound Cake
1/2 cup of softened butter
1 cup of sugar
3 eggs (sm) or 2 large
1-1/2 cups plus 1/4 cup of sifted cake flour
1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Preheat oven to 300 degrees
Grease and flour loaf pan and set aside
In mixer add butter and beat for one minute then add sugar beat all for three minutes
or until creamy.  Reduce mixer speed to medium add eggs one at a time.
Beating well after each egg, scrapping sides down.  In a medium bowl sift flour and baking soda.
in a small bowl mix together yogurt and vanilla then add them to the butter mixture.
Beating to combine...Reduce mixer speed to low then add flour mixture to butter mixture in 3 batches,
beating well after each addition.  Then fill your loaf pan bake for one hour..
( I had to raise my oven to 325 degrees and bake about 13 minutes longer .... I also sprinkled some lavender flowers over the top of it before I baked it..)
I really enjoyed this pound cake...I hope that you enjoy it too...with love Janice...
