WINTER CLEAN UP...

DOING A LITTLE BIT OF A CLEAN UP OF THINGS THAT I HADN'T DUSTED IN A WHILE..YOU KNOW AS I GET OLDER I DON'T HAVE ALL THAT ENERGY TO DUST MY HEART AWAY LIKE BEFORE LOL...BUT THE OTHER EVENING, I CLIMBED UP AND REMOVED EVERYTHING OFF THIS LITTLE KITCHEN SHELVE THAT I HAVE THAT REALLY NEEDS TO BE RE PAINTED...(FUTURE PROJECT MAYBE IN THE SPRING)

WELL I WASHED IT ALL UP AND LET IT DRY...IN THE MORNING GOT UP AND PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER..THOUGH I NEVER PUT IT BACK IN TO SAME PLACE. THIS WAS THE RESULT...
JUST LOVE ALL MY NIC NACS AND TEA CUPS...
HENS...
I HAVE TWO OF THESE AND IM NOT SURE WHAT THEY ARE, THE TOPS DON'T SCREW ON THEY JUST GO ON..THEY HAVE HOLES IN THE TOPS..MAYBE THEY ARE FOR POTPOURRI.
I LOVE THESE TEA CUPS...I HAVE A PLATTER...AND SOME FRUIT BOWLS...JUST A FEW PIECES I WOULD IMAGINE IF I HAD THE WHOLE SET...(DREAMING)
O YES AND I HAVE THE CREAMER TOO...SO PRETTY ROSES AND WHISPERY FLOWERS...
WELL ALL DONE NOW, NICE AND CLEAN...
SO NOW THAT IT'S DONE THE NEXT ONE IS IN THE LIVING ROOM...WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING TODAY....????  WISHING YOU A GRAND DAY TODAY AND A FABULOUS WEEKEND WITH LOVE JANICE..

  3. Perchance, are the odd little "pots with lids that have holes in them" used as egg coddlers?

You crack an uncooked egg into a buttered coddler, add cheese, salt/pepper, chives, etc. then put the lid on. Caaaaarefully set the coddler into a pan/pot and fill with water to below rim-edge of the coddler.

Bring heat up to boil, then reduce the heat and cook until the egg would be done - 3 min, 6 min, whatever. Lift coddler out of water bath with tongs. Remove lid and enjoy egg with a slice of toast!

  6. Janice,
All your pretty blues look so nice on the shelf. You know, I do not like dusting any more either. It's a bother, you know. I hope the new year is kind to you, Janice, and I always enjoy coming over here and having a cup of tea with you.

  8. Doesn't it feel great to get one area clean? Then you feel like you've really accomplished something and can go on to the next one. I love the way all the pretty blue and white (and a few pink) pieces look together.
