Green Fried Tomatoes, and Blue..(Long Post)

Good Afternoon ya'll, I been home with my broken back, so to speak...Today I'm feeling much better and ever so grateful...I was able to do some cleaning yesterday but was sore later on though..I always tend to push myself cause there is so much that I want to get done..
I so love this tray, I had like most of my things obtained it off Dad's truck...So miss that...
I have never used it before, just had it as a decoration piece. Funny. Maybe cause I just didn't have the time..And now that I have all the time in the world and are into Tea more than before..
My sweet Tea Pot, from the Asian store...
Would you like a cup of Tea,
As I have been cleaning at the storage, I have found that I have quite a few old Vintage Aprons that I had been collecting...so I washed them and hung them in the kitchen with the rest. My granddaughters love to use them...
I Ironed up a new vintage table cloth and changed the one I had. my carpet by the sink as well and a few other things...I had some turquoise in the kitchen, and now that I found my checkered Blue & White lit carpet at the storage, I changed it all back to Blue & White...
Yesterday in the Garden there were these two large Green tomatoes, and I have always wanted to try Some Green Fried Tomatoes, Have you ever seen the Movie, I love that movie...Anyhow, I thought ya know I'm gonna do it so After refreshing up the kitchen I took out the black skillet and some corn meal and flour...added some salt and black pepper and a dash of Lawry's seasoned salt...Put some Crisco Lard in the black skillet and
started slicing up those green tomatoes
Then frying them up, the most simplest thing it was..
I thought they were pretty good, finally got that done something I kept saying I'm gonna do and hadn't....Nice!!!I really liked them it was kind of like eating a fried pickle.
Later on after I took a hot shower, I flipped on the T.V. and the heating pad...I had remembered that I had all this blue thread and some soft yellow that I originally had my daughter pick up for me for the bathroom..Well that all changed, (the original thoughts for the bathroom doily.) I started a new doily. A new Rose doily. The reason is I lost my needle and didn't have the same size to work on the pink Rose doily...But I was going crazy wanting to crochet...so I dug through my bunch of ones and thought well I don't have the same size but I picked one out and away I went...
Serving up some Blues....
I like the soft yellow Rose, I can't wait to finish up and have them hanging around the edge. I so wanted to finish the Pink Rose one...well maybe today I can get a new needle. But in the mean time this is what I'm doing.
I think I have fallen in love with this pattern...and it's more simpler than I thought...
adding a darker blue around now instead of green...I think I'm going to keep this one for me. I so like the colors and it will go good in the Kitchen or dinning room.
They are both so pretty, and I love the green w/purple as well...
Though these two, will have little roses hanging around the edging of them...And the candy cane line one too...
And now that I understand how to make the Rose, I can make this pot holder one... I was telling my older daughter how it's funny now that I have learned more when I look at other doilies I can say wow I can most likely do this instead of hum I wonder if I can figure it out...I have had this for years as well...I'm so happy that I'm learning more to the fine crocheting world...it pleases me very much..My passion coming true..So one day in the future I will make the attempt to accomplish this small vintage pot holder.
Thank you for joining me today...I hope you enjoyed your cup of Tea...wishing you a great afternoon...with love Janice

I like the blue/yellow combo...fresh, and for some reason reminds ome of daisies..have great w/e, I hope your back eases up...and that you feel better.
