Thursday morning ....

GOOD MORNING MY DEAR SWEET FRIENDS, I THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE WHAT WAS GOING ON IN MY NEW GARDEN WITH YOU TODAY...

I HAVE A FEW ZUCCHINI STILL GROWING THE TOMATOES ARE MESSED UP THE TINY WHITE FLIES KILLED MY CHERRY TOMATOES SO I ONLY GOT A FEW. I DID SPRAY AND CLEAN THEM WITH SOAPY WATER BUT THEY JUST TOOK OVER. THEY ALSO BOTHERED MY SWISS CHARD I COULDN'T RID OF THEM. BUT MY SWISS CHARD IS STILL NICE BY THE MOST OF IT. I GOT MY FIRST BLOOM ON MY NEW PINK ROSE BUSH..I WAS SO EXCITED THOUGH I THOUGHT IT WAS A LITTLE BIT DARKER IN COLOR BUT WHOSE COMPLAINING FOR $6.50 FOR THE WHOLE PLANT. BY NEXT SPRING THEY SHOULD BE WONDERFUL...AND WOW PANSY'S EVERY WHERE IN THE FRONT PART OF THE GARDEN... COLLARD GREENS ARE COMING UP AND GREEN ONIONS AND A NEW PATCH OF MINI CARROTS WHICH I SEEM TO LOVE.. THEY HAVE A NICE FLAVOR I PICKED THE LAST ONE OF SUMMER CROP... AND THERE WAS ONE ZUCCHINI I MUST HAVE NOT SEEN IT GREW QUITE LARGE. O MY HERE WE GO AGAIN THE PHOTO THING WENT OFF AGAIN...DARN IT...BE BACK LATER TO TRY AGAIN SO SORRY..I HATE THIS. silly thing it's still not working..it just makes me so mad...

It's working yeah...here is my new hydrangea plant, I had one before in my garden at Mom's and they let it die..but gladly to say I finally got a new one...

O and I was at the nursery last week and I couldn't pass this lovely hanging basket up..it was 18 dollars but it just spoke to me so I got it and filled it up with peat moss and pretty Victorian looking pansys and another I can't remember the name plant that will hang down later on..I fell in love with it...

A closer view of my basket with my little red bird inside. she was sitting in the garden but flew up in the basket, she said that she liked it better in there so the neighbors cat wouldn't get her...wink wink...

Before she took off to the basket...

my last carrot...new ones coming up.

My chicken salad...with carrots and potatoes jalapenos salt pepper and mayonaise.. A very simple thing to make..yummy... well I'm glad to have shared some of my garden today hope you enjoy it...with love Janice....

  1. Oh, you have a garden...how wonderful! My dad grew a garden across the street from his house, and he always came in with the best looking vegetables. There's nothing like home grown tomatoes. I enjoyed your photos today, and it brought back memories of my dad's sweet garden.

  3. Such pretty pansies. I love the blue hydrangea..they are one of my favourite cut flowers (beside roses). I really like your hanging basket, looks like the perfect comfy little home for the cute red bird :)

  5. Good Morning Janice! What beautiful flowers you have so late in the year and you're so lucky to be still growing things in your garden. Love the hydrangea and the pansy's. I don't like the idea of the little earthquakes you were telling me about in your comment...yikes I think that would be worse than dust storms! BUT...your weather is wonderful there. Too bad about your tomatoes...ours grew HUGE but never produced probably because of the heat. I hope you have a wonderful day!
