The day of rest

Do you know or realize that Sunday is the day of rest.
The Sabbath... In Exodus 20:8. Remember the sabbath day, keep it holy...   Keep it sacred.
Verse 9 says you are to labor and do all your work for the six days....  I have been trying to focus on this..  Because it is a comand from God...
Verse 10 says but the seventh day is a sabbath day to God, Your God.  You must not do any work, neither you nor your son nor your daughter nor your slave man nor your slave girl nor your domestic animal nor your foreign resident who is inside your settlements.
( a vintage wooden tray make in the usa.  I've had for about thirty years )
( It is becoming very chippy )
( The flowers are amazing )
( My Yellow rose tea cup by,  Royal Albert, made in England )

Verse 11...  For the six days God made the heavens and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and he began to rest on the seventh day.  That is why God blessed the Sabbath day and made it sacred.
( Enjoy your day of rest, make it in honor of God make it holy and sacred, with love Janice )

  5. Sadly, in our Energizer bunny society, work has been exalted and rest is looked upon as unnecessary. But God knows how much we need to rest.

    Have a beautiful day,
