Today I'm sharing my favorite teapot. A Johnson Bros... From England... I love love this teapot and started collecting these pieces several years ago. I fell upon them on a blog that does't exsit anymore. There was never a name associated with the photos but it was instant love...
I'm not even sure how I found them. I think I stumbled across some pieces later at a goodwill which I left behind because they were with grazing, ha, I could just smack myself about it... And it was forever till I found this teapot. The original pattern I saw was the teacup one... The woman whos blog I saw them on she had the whole set given to her. It was her granmother's. It is reversed meaning the aqua is just on the trim, but since they were so difficult to find I grabbed up the teapot because I loved that big band of aqua around it and those pretty flowers of spring...
It is just so beautiful to me, fresh air...
A bouquet on the front as well.....
The teacup just as lovely.....
A pretty saucer, just makes your heart warm all over and makes you smile... I often wonder who owned this before and what were they like and what did they talk about over this teapot or teacup...
Tea is ready... I only have two teacups and saucers so far, as I said these are so very hard to find....
This is a new piece that I recently found. The same pattern as the teapot, it is in perfect condition...
Awe just look at those spring flowers and that beautiful aqua band...
I have aquired two different sets but they match just as well... Yesterday when I was taking photos I dropped a square luncheon plate, and broke it into many pieces, my heart almost couldn't take it... So now I'm one less hopefully I can replace it...
This is a dinner plate. Actually I have three different patterns...
The square luncheon plate/ salad plate...
Wide soup bowls....
Cereal bowls....
A small bread and butter dish which I only have one of... And it matches the dinner plate...
They make me breathless.... I also have the little berriy bowls...
I am thrilled to hear that you have overcome such an overwhelming disorder and that you are managing so much better. I hope your improvement continues. Love the beautiful pattern of your set, the aqua colour is beautiful. take care.

Beautiful china pattern. I love that shade of aqua and the beautiful old fashioned flowers pattern. Every time I see tea cups with pattern repeated inside of the the tea cup it makes me smile to imagine drinking tea from it and revealing more of the pattern with each sip. The square plates were very pretty, too. Hopefully you will find a replacement very soon for the one that broke.
ReplyDeleteThere have been seasons in my life where panic attacks occurred. They seem to ebb and flow, sometimes long periods of time will pass without them and then wham! out of the blue they start in again. I don't know what sets them off. I don't know why I go for long periods of time without them (but I am glad I do).
I hope you will feel better and better every day.
This is a beautiful set Janice and nice to see you making use of them. So often they just sit gathering dust on a shelf or in a cabinet.
ReplyDeleteHoping you have a great weekend and week, totally free of any sort of panic attacks.
Diana
I'm glad that you've learned how to manage your debilitating panic attacks, Janice. Thank you for sharing your beautiful Johnson tea set. My favourite feature of the design is the turquoise trim!
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to know that with God's help you are controlling your panic disorder, Janice. I'm sure your pretty Johnson Bros dishes must cheer you up. That pattern is so vintage looking and I do love the flowers and the color. Hopefully you'll find a square plate to replace the broken one. They look lovely with your pretty handmade doilies.
